The Most Loving Thing You Can Do for Your Heart

February 13th

Heart health is often framed as something we should do.

But in reality, it’s one of the most loving decisions you can make.

Heart disease doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed—it changes families, relationships, and futures. It quietly limits energy, presence, and longevity long before an event ever occurs.

Most people don’t ignore their heart health because they don’t care.
They ignore it because they feel “fine,” they’re busy, or they assume they’ll deal with it later.

But later is often when damage is already well underway.

True heart health isn’t about fear or restriction.
It’s about protecting your ability to show up—for your work, your family, and the people who depend on you being well.

This month, I’ve been sharing a deeper look at what actually drives heart disease—and why prevention must start earlier and be more precise than most people realize.

If your heart health has been in the back of your mind, consider this a gentle pause… and an invitation to listen.

Warmly,
Dr. Coeurlida Louis Ashby

PS: I work privately with individuals who want to take a proactive, thoughtful approach to heart and metabolic health—before a crisis forces the conversation. If that’s been on your mind, this may be the right time to explore next steps.
