Why most health plans fail after January

Why do most health plans fail after January?

Most people don’t fail at their health because they lack information.

They fail because they underestimate what it takes to sustain change.

What Makes Change Sustainable?

One word: Accountability. By the time someone is dealing with high blood pressure, heart disease, metabolic dysfunction, or rising inflammation, their body isn’t missing a supplement — it’s responding to years of accumulated stress, metabolic strain, and repeated, even programmed behaviors.

Even highly motivated, intelligent people struggle alone.

In health, accountability is structure that protects momentum. Without accountability, even the best intentions are quietly negotiated away over time.

What erodes change is:

  • decision fatigue
  • stress
  • competing priorities

In my work, I encourage people to commit to 90–100 days of focused, guided effort — enough time for the body to respond to consistency and the guidance to stay committed through the tough days.

This month, I’m opening a small number of intensive 1:1 spots for individuals who are ready to stop “trying” and start rebuilding their health with structure and guidance.

If that resonates with you, request a conversation here:

Warmly,
Dr. Ashby

PS — If you’re unsure whether this is right for you, that’s exactly what the initial conversation is for.

The work I do is not for everyone; Who this work is (and is not) for

I want to be clear about something The work I do is not for everyone — and that’s intentional. This is not for people looking for: • a new supplement to add • a quick detox • motivation without accountability This work is for people who: • understand their condition didn’t develop overnight • are willing to learn how their body actually responds to inputs • want to reduce disease burden, not just manage numbers • are ready for guidance, not guesswork Right now, I’m accepting a limited number...
